Judy.
Judy was my first dog and was our companion during those early
years at home in The Meir. She was a terrier and had no problem whatsoever
looking after herself. Dad kept pigeons and Judy kept the cats away. The sight
of this little monkey tearing down the backyard was a sight to behold.
In those days, bitches roamed the street at will.
The consequences of that was that Judy had about ten litters of pups! Perhaps
that's where I found my love of dogs because there was rarely a time when we
didn't have the little buggers under our feet. The smell of a baby puppy is
beautiful too. Judy's been dead for 40 years.
